Ultrasound

Trinity Pet Hospital uses veterinary ultrasound as a safe, non-invasive, and painless way to examine and diagnose some illnesses in your pet. Ultrasound is extremely safe and reliable and doesn't usually require the sedation of your pet. Most people associate ultrasound with pregnancy, but the usefulness of this state-of-the-art technology extends far beyond that. Ultrasound uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. It allows Dr. Keating to see if there is a change in the tissues or size and shape of any organs and reveals any fluid present in the body, particularly fluid that should not be there. The ultrasound machine directs high-frequency sound waves at specific parts of your pet's body, which returns images of the internal organs. Results are returned in real-time, allowing immediate action to be taken to safeguard the health of your pet.
